Budget projects are due Thursday March 15th. Don't forget to meet your check in dates. The first check in date is Wednesday Feb. 29th. You need to be finished with your job, apartment and car sections. Future Focus students, don't forget that your career research paper is due Sept. 29th. We will have in class time to work on it, but you'll also need to work on it at home! The assignment description sheet can be found on my calendar under Sept. 22. Only paid FBLA members will be attending the Chapter Leadership Tour at Canby High School on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009. In order to attend, you must have all dues paid and turn in completed prearranged absence form, medical release form and signed code of conduct. FBLA is having a fundraiser at Fultano's Pizza on Thursday April 2, 2009. Pick up a flier from an FBLA member and bring it to Fultano's on April 2. 20% of the night's proceeds will be donated to half FBLA attend the state conference. Must present FBLA flier at time of purchase. Wednesday 2/18 at lunch, we will be having our Regional Awards Ceremony at lunch in rm. 216. We will have pizza and snacks. Certificates will be handed out for the top 10 qualifiers in each event. There will be an FBLA meeting at lunch on Wednesday 1/14 in my classroom. We will talk about the regional test schedule and have a guest speaker from the Portland Rotary Club. She will be explaining the Enterprise Academy that is being held at the Canby Grove in February. Regionals costs $15. Registration is due by December 15, 2008. You need to come see me so that we can get you signed up for 2 events. We will also be having a meeting soon to discuss regionals. Your Trimester 1 final grades have been posted. Please check them online. Remember, your final has been included as well as your participation points. I have posted your Trimester 1 grades. Please check online to see your grade. Remember that the final and your participation points have been factored in.
Some of you did a great job on the Reinforcement Activity during the final period. I want to thank those of you that took the time to complete the assignment. There were many of you who were confused or did not have enough time to complete the activity, so I did not record the scores. I am disappointed that the activity did not go well. We should have known that material. It was nothing new. I do, however, take responsibility for the fact that I was not there to proctor the activity, which may have had some affect on your ability to complete it.
As of November 12, all Dollars & Sense work has been graded and entered into ESIS. Your online grades are current. The last day to turn in missing work is this Friday.
The stock market challenge is due tomorrow, Thursday. We will be in the library finishing it up tomorrow.
The budget project is due at the beginning of class on Friday. You earn 30 points for turning it in on time.

Wednesday and Thursday we will continue with our contracts lesson. We will review for the contract test on Friday and take the contract test on Monday. We are still starting our Board Game final project on Monday.
As of November 11, 2008, all Accounting I papers have been graded and entered into ESIS. If you have any missing work that has not been recorded, the last day to turn it in is this Friday. I will not accept late work after Friday.
We will be starting chapter 8 on Wednesday.
We are starting our pumpkin sale for the March of Dimes this week. Please come by my room and pick up your package of 10 pumpkins ASAP. Also, if you are available Monday after school, come by to help us decorate the FBLA pumpkin patch in senior hall. We will be finishing up chapter 10 and starting chapter 11 this week. We are getting ready for our Stock Market Challenge, so start researching some stocks and asking people their recommendations. We will be starting our own research in class on Wednesday, but come with some ideas of companies you may be interested in.

We will be finishing up chapter 5 this week. We will be taking the chapter 5 test on Wednesday. We had a confusing schedule last week, so we will take an extra class period this week to make sure everyone is caught up and ready for the chapter 5 test. Remember, there are 20 True/False questions on the test and no vocabulary.
